I know that people sometimes struggle with life issues, battle with depression, anxiety, grief, and loss, and are overwhelmed with trauma which makes life choices difficult to manage, which can affect how they live, think, and treat others. My mission is to support and guide clients in overcoming personal struggles, help people heal from trauma, manage, and sort out their feelings, help them find a balance when things are not right in their lives, give them the skills needed to face challenges as they arise, and cope with life stressors which can change their perspective of themselves, others, and the world they live in.

My name is LaTasha Unseld, and I am an Intern at Brighter Side Counseling LLC, currently studying for my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree at Judson University. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Argosy University. I have always been concerned with the well-being of others and passionate about helping people who do not, cannot, or do not know how to help themselves.

I know firsthand how difficult it is to come to terms with, work through, overcome, and get to the other side of life struggles because I have lived through them and if it were not for therapy, I would not be where I am at today. I am an Advocate for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and I have years of experience helping victims work through their pain and trauma. I am a caring, understanding listener who is empathetic, flexible, and dependable, believes in people, and wants the best for them. My goal is to work together to find the inner peace needed to move forward in life and regain the hope that was lost somewhere down the road.

I want to help clients find their SUPERPOWER!
